Sad you can’t join us in the taproom?
Join Tom and some other familiar ESBC faces each week on Wednesdays at 6pm. Share some beers and laughs and live a little lighter for a bit.
Wednesday 5/ 20 – Guest host – Mitch Steele – Brewmaster, COO, and Co-Founder of New Realm Brewing
We will be drinking each other’s beers, talking about brewing Broken Skull for the East Coast, and maybe get into some of the history about the Yakima valley, hop contracts and hop selection since that’s where this story starts.

A message about the Lonely Hearts Pub
from Tom Kelley
We’re in the hospitality business. The People business. It’s printed on the front of the building. We stress it with every new staff member. El Segundo Brewing and The Slice and Pint are greater than a sum of their parts, because of all of YOU. The beautiful people whose week just isn’t quite right without passing through our doors to share a pint, a slice, and a story.
It’s killing us not to be there for you all during this strange and uncertain time. And we know so many of our staff, and our friends throughout the industry are struggling. And so, we Zoom.
Every (most) Wednesdays I am hosting a happy hour at 6pm. I put my nice shirt on and comb my hair. And we come up with a few fun ways to spend a few hours drinking beer, talking about beer, spinning yarn and sharing some laughs. You know… bartending.
And in lieu of customary gratuities I am asking for donations to Restaurants Care* to help support those most vulnerable in the restaurant industry. It’s not required, but I ask you to throw a bit in the boot if you can. I know everyone is struggling, but even a little bit goes a long way for an individual or a family that is truly in need. Let’s help them get some groceries. We can do it together.
It’s fun, it’s relaxed, sometimes it gets a little loud and boisterous. Join us!
*Restaurants Care is an established, non-profit program of the CA Restaurant Association Foundation. Restaurants Care provides one-time financial support to restaurant employees facing unforeseen hardship. Since 1981, the CRA Foundation has been cooking up stronger communities in California by investing in the people at the heart of our restaurant industry.
